The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.

A just weight and balance are the Lord‘s: all the weights of the bag are his work.

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.

Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.

The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.

In the light of the king’s countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Song of Redemption

Oh august king, confess your sins or I’ll attest,

To the loyal countrymen how a beast you are best,

Or to the cast,

That made the dust,

Dance to the east,

So fast like a fist fest,

Ghastly like a ghost in gust,

Heading for a heist in the hurst,

The truth I’ll insist,

I’ll sit and stare as the just,

The great captain with a cup from the kast,

As he sips his last,

A judgment he’ll then pass…and after the mast,

You’ll retire to the crooks nest,

From your throne you’ll be oust,

Glory and power will be a past,

A dawn it will be of a quest,

A fight not to rust like the rest,

And as you drown in that syst,

Where thirst is a test,

In the isle of Unst,

I’ll frolic with a vest,

Swim in the plenty of the vast west,

My name great will echo in every xyst,

And like dough with yeast,

In life i’ll bubble with zest.

The Little Things…

Simple 2

It is not the big things,

Not the grand gestures,

Not the public declaration of love,

Not the big gifts considered pricey.

It’s the little things that get me,

The unconscious touching of skin,

The electricity passing through fingers,

The casual hand guiding a walk.

It is the staring eye to eye,

That I often loose blushingly,

It is the casual smile,

The hard attempt not to giggle,

It is the short moments in life,

When words loose meaning,

When roses aren’t expressive,

And all that is done counts.

It is the point beyond love,

The affections that passes reactions,

The hearts beating in harmony,

Eyes lowered and lips touching.

It is the true and complete feeling,

Of not two but one,

Of not a time or space,

But of moment beyond emotion.

So close…Yet so far.

The city under the  sun

Is where I met this wild flower

A lady whose beauty would never be done  justice

If make up was part of her face

A lady whose smile could only be said as made in heaven

A lady, so amazing with mental prowess like no other

Ooh… A perfect example of how lethal a combination

Beauty and brains can be.

From the ocean to the lake

To the rift and back

A darling she remained

Every night in my dreams i held her

But during the day her beauty I could only phantom

She made the sense of  imagination come alive in me

As castles and castles I built on a vast imaginary world

A castle…..For children ours.

What an honour it was

When the heavens gave me a  token

An opportunity to watch this beauty

As her eyes gave way to  slumber

And her lips forming a smile

Making her face sparkle

As she so quietly -I hoped dreamt of me.

My knees kiss the ground

As my eyes look to the heavens above

My heart perambulating with love

As my mouth professes sweet everything

That the whole of me would fight to give

The day this beauty….. says YES

But until then……

Until the day I’ll hold her in my arms as mine

She’ll remain a love so close yet so far.
